The minute they find out they are pregnant, most parents start planning names, nursery décor and deciding which childbirth class to take. What about planning for newborn sleep? Newborn sleep patterns can make us crazy. They are different than ours. And, we feel so helpless when we try to fix them. (Gwen Duwar, 2008). But that doesn’t mean there is nothing you can do. For younger babies, there are many safe and gentle tactics for improving sleep. And as babies mature, your options increase.

Here’s what you will discover:

• Expectations vs. realities of newborn sleep (and yours)
• Your baby’s own internal clock
• Creating a routine and positive sleep setting
• How to avoid bad habits
