Perceived Risk: Pilot Testing Laboratory Error Simulations and In Situ Simulation Walkthroughs
The desired outcome for this research is gather sufficient evidence to support or refute continued research exploring the potential benefit of simulating preventable adverse events (PAEs) toward the reduction of PAEs. Investigators seek to develop a plan for safe implementation of In Situ pilot simulations through lab-based simulations and clinic walk-throughs. The ultimate goal is to generate a subset of useful simulation scenarios that can be used for future research toward the reduction of PAEs.
Researchers are working with hospital staff whose work environments are relevent to the scenarios to be tested. For more on Dr. Wright's research efforts, click here.
