Title   Neuroform Microdelivery Stent System

The NeuroformTM Microdelivery Stent System is a tool that is used to assist in coiling intracranial aneurysms with wide necks. an Intracranial aneurysm is a sac on an artery in the brain that may stretch over time. A wide neck, intracranial aneurysm is an aneurysm that has a wide opening where it attaches to the artery. This opening is called the aneurysm neck. The NeuroformTM Stent System has been given the status of Humanitarian Use Device by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This means that it has been recognized as a promising tool in treating an uncommon disease. Because intracranial aneurysms are uncommon, it is difficult perform large patient opopulation studies on the treatment of aneurysms.
