Opportunity Highlights

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group has an excellent opportunity for two board certified or board eligible family medicine physicians to join a robust clinic-based practice in Nampa, ID, and one to join a new clinic in Kuna, ID, opening in the Summer of 2013.  These growing multi-specialty clinics employ family medicine, pediatric and urgent care providers.

The selected physicians will practice full-spectrum family medicine with or without OB and will have the opportunity to perform numerous procedures. The clinics serve a diverse population including some refugees and the underserved.  The physicians will have privileges at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center – Nampa, and will be licensed in Idaho and Oregon to maintain and strengthen the health system’s family medicine program across all communities we serve.

We greatly value the input and leadership of our physicians and encourage each physician to actively participate in department meetings, SAMG leadership council and in matters of practice/service line development. The physician must demonstrate a commitment to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care and work cooperatively with associates and other providers.  The physician must also be willing to oversee and supervise physician assistants and nurse practitioners.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right family medicine physicians to join a growing team and be part of the Saint Alphonsus Health System and Saint Alphonsus Medical Group.

Compensation Package

An excellent compensation and benefits package is available.

Community Description

The Boise Metropolitan Area, also known as the Treasure Valley officially consists of five counties in Southwestern Idaho, anchored by the cities of Boise and Nampa.  Kuna actually lies between Boise and Nampa.  With a population of more than 600,000, the region is a commercial center in the Northwest, an outdoor enthusiast's paradise and a flourishing scene for arts and entertainment. The Treasure Valley offers a reasonable cost of living, low crime rate, excellent cultural programs, numerous neighborhood parks and nearby national forests and rivers.

The region enjoys a high desert climate with four seasons and mild winters.  Nampa and Kuna are located in the center of the Boise Metro Area, each just 15 minutes from downtown Boise. The Snake River, Lake Lowell and the Owyhee Mountains are located to the South and the Boise River to the North.

Several high-profile publications rank the area as one of the best places in the country to do business and live.  While Boise is the city named on the lists, rankings really extend beyond the city and apply to all of the Treasure Valley.  Outside Magazine recently said, “The winner for best overall town in the western U.S. is Boise, Idaho.”  Forbes Magazine, and the Brookings Institute are also highly complimentary.  CNN-Money just named Idaho as the friendliest state for small businesses, and Idaho's low cost of living and culture of physician independence make it the best place in America to be a practicing physician for the second straight year.
