Boise, Idaho – Holiday spirit fills the Boise Centre for the 30th year in a row with the Saint Alphonsus Festival of Trees celebration. The Festival of Trees continues to be the premier holiday tradition in the Treasure Valley, stretching back to 1983. This year's event begins November 26th with the Festival of Trees black-tie Gala Celebration*. The general public is invited to enjoy the wide range of Festival of Trees activities starting Wednesday, November 27, continuing through Monday, December 2.
Each year during Thanksgiving week, Boise Centre becomes home to a wonderland of holiday splendor featuring hundreds of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, traditional and unique wreaths, and holiday decor. Enhancing this remarkable display is a series of special events designed to entertain the entire family. From the Winter Wonderland Pageant, Children’s Scavenger Hunt, North Pole Village, to Breakfast with Santa, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Entertainment is provided by local dance groups, choirs and musicians throughout the week, and over 1,000 volunteers from across the Treasure Valley help make the event possible.
The week-long Festival is a cherished tradition among local families who eagerly await and attend each year around the Thanksgiving holiday. Since its inception, the Festival of Trees has raised more than $7 million to improve healthcare in our community. Funds raised from this year’s event will support the expansion of the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center Emergency Department, helping to sustain the highest caliber of care as the region's only Level II Trauma Center.
