Father Rick Frechette meets students, holds celebration mass
What: Father Rick Frechette visits the Bishop Kelly student body and meets with supporters at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.
Why: Father Rick describes recent triumphs and continued challenges in Haiti in the wake of the devastating 2010 earthquake and subsequent cholera epidemic. Saint Alphonsus Project Haiti has supported the work of Father Rick for 16 years. Father Rick’s work includes St. Damien’s Children’s hospital, a rehabilitation hospital, a new disaster/trauma hospital, cholera treatment center, and mobile medical clinics. Father Rick is both a priest and a physician.
