Dietary Department

The Dietary Department is staffed by 12 full-time employees. Saint Alphonsus Medical Center — Baker City has a dietitian who comes to the hospital to see patients in the hospital and residents in our Health Care Center. The Dietary Department provides nutritious meals for patients, Health Care Center residents and employees. Visitors wishing to share a meal with a family member in the hospital can order a guest tray. 

Meals are catered for meetings within the hospital, such as the board of directors and medical staff. Breakfast is available in the cafeteria Monday through Friday for employees and visitors.

In addition, the Saint Alphonsus Medical Center — Baker City Dietary Department has received commendations for the exemplary food and service for the medical center Foundation’s Festival of Trees and other community events.
