In 2001, Saint Alphonsus Health Foundation — Baker City launched a $1 million capital campaign to fund major improvements at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Baker City, helping to provide solutions to present-day demands and to obtain the very latest in medical technology. The foundation’s efforts will help to ensure Saint Alphonsus Medical Center — Baker City is a provider of high-quality medical care to the benefit of everyone in Baker County—now and in the future.

With your generous donation the Foundation met its commitment in May of 2005. Its latest achievement (Phase III) was the purchase of radiology and fluoroscopy equipment for the radiology department. 

Phase I included the purchase of a helical CT scanner, and Phase II included the completion of a state-of-the-art Birth Center. The $1.75 million ER/ICU expansion and remodeling was the next project, and it was completed by June 2006. This was through a generous contribution from the Saint Alphonsus Health Foundation — Baker City, in June 2005 when it committed an additional $300,000 to the ER/ICU expansion project.

The foundation continues to fund new projects and advancements in care for our community.
