Auxiliary
Our Mission
The Saint Alphonsus Auxiliary — Baker City was organized to
make a difference in patron care and
hospitality and to serve Saint Alphonsus
Medical Center — Baker City in fund raising and community
support through social events. The Auxiliary
exists today to encompass not only the
founder’s goals but also to allow the
auxilians to promote fellowship and cultivate
leadership qualities within the membership.
Our Purpose
The purpose of our auxiliary is to render
service to Saint Alphonsus Medical
Center — Baker City and its patients and to
assist in promoting the health and welfare of
the community and the philosophy
established by the institution.
The auxiliary is a nonprofit, nonsectarian
group whose threefold purpose is:
Our Goals
Projects and Activities
Since establishment in 1967, the medical center auxiliary has funded such things as
scholarships for Baker County students who
are pursuing careers in medicine as well as providing needed items to
various departments within the hospital.
Funds are raised through the Auxiliary Gift
Shop, mini bazaars, bake sales and book
fairs. We also enjoy a annual appreciation
brunch, given by the
medical center administration.
Meetings
Regular meetings of the auxiliary are
held at 9:30 a.m. on the last Monday of
the month, except May, June, July,
August and December. The meetings are
held in Conference Room 15 at Saint
Alphonsus Medical Center — Baker City,
in the Health Care Center.
