Kissler Family Health Sciences Library

The Kissler Health Sciences Library is named after the Kissler family, owners of Norco Medical Supply. In 1997, funds were donated to enhance our existing library and create a welcoming education center for visitors.

The library houses medical information, medical textbooks, medical journals, and medical or health-related electronic databases. The library is a member of the National Library of Medicine and serves physicians, staff, employees, patients and their families.

The primary focus of the Kissler Library's collection is clinical medicine with supplementary materials in management and consumer health. The core collection contains 600 books, 210 current periodical titles, a management book and business CD collection, and a consumer health book, video, tape, and brochure collection.

Our library features a variety of multimedia information sources to assist you in your search for medical knowledge. These resources include:

  • Twelve computer stations that link library users to current healthcare databases and educational materials
  • Audiovisual viewing room
  • Variety of medical and health books and journals
  • Wall Street Journal
  • Idaho Statesman
The public is welcome to perform their own searches and use library materials. Computer print-outs and photocopies are available for $0.10 per page. The library is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
