Saint Alphonsus Health System
Saint Alphonsus is part of Saint Alphonsus Health
System, an entity created to serve the 21st century health-care needs of the
people who live from the Treasure Valley to the I-84 corridor in eastern Oregon.
This system created in April 2010 is comprised of Saint Alphonsus Regional
Medical Center; Mercy Medical Center, Nampa, Idaho; Holy Rosary Medical Center,
Ontario, Ore.; and St. Elizabeth Health Services, Baker City, Ore. To

Saint Alphonsus provides technical and
clinical services to several rural healthcare facilities in the region. Our
goal is to provide quality patient care throughout Idaho and eastern Oregon
and we can best assist these rural facilities by sharing our clinical and technical
knowledge. Through collaboration
and providing medical services and resources when needed, we hope to improve
the overall health of our region.

Cascade Medical Center serves the town of Cascade and the surrounding area
from Donnelly to Smith's Ferry. This 10-bed Critical Access Hospital provides
24-hours 7-days a week emergency room services, inpatient hospital care, and
a Rural Health Clinic for family practice. Cascade Medical Center's mission
is to be the provider of choice for primary, preventative, and emergency care
delivering the personal touch that makes a small rural Idaho community unique.
A local EMS team is available for medical emergencies in and around the city,
including vast areas of backcountry. The center is affiliated with Saint Alphonsus
Regional Medical Center in Boise, which provides tertiary care and valuable
Life Flight transfer access.
Saint Alphonsus and Cascade Medical Center also
have a clinical alliance that includes owning and operating the Saint Alphonsus
Medical Clinic at Tamarack.
Saint Alphonsus Medical Clinic at Tamarack, located in
the resort's Discovery Square, provides on-site urgent care, lab, x-ray, and
family practice for guests, visitors and residents of Tamarack, Donnelly and
McCall. The clinic has access to advanced diagnostic technologies including
digital radiology and electrocardiography, and is equipped to triage and stabilize
orthopedic, cardiac and other emergencies for critical care transport to nearby
hospitals.
Tamarack is one of the first resorts in the nation to design secure helicopter landing zones on the mountain to quickly access skiers, hikers and others in need of critical medical care. Saint Alphonsus Life Flight critical care air medical transport services are available - 24 hours, 7 days a week. The Saint Alphonsus Medical Clinic at Tamarack is staffed by medical professionals from Cascade Medical Center and supported through a partnership with Saint Alphonsus and Life Flight.

West Valley Medical Center, Caldwell’s community hospital,
is one of the leading hospital facilities and employers in the state of Idaho.
This 150-bed facility is nationally accredited and has been part of the Hospital
Corporation of America (HCA) family since 1975.
Saint Alphonsus and West Valley Medical Center have collaborated to enhance
the quality of care and provide an expanded network of clinical resources for
residents of the western Treasure Valley – the Saint Alphonsus-West Valley
Health Alliance.
The Alliance will provide a coordinated system of care that will broaden community access to specialized services at Boise-based Saint Alphonsus, and enhance clinical quality across the continuum of care.
