Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Ontario is proud to offer the 80-slice CT scanner. The 80 slice is the leading technology standard in many metro areas across the country.
CT scanners use special x-ray equipment to take multiple pictures – or slices – of internal structures, such as organs, bones and blood vessels. A computer program then reconstructs all these slices into detailed, two and three dimensional images. It is highly effective in identifying heart disease, stroke and bone disorders allowing Saint Alphonsus specialists to quickly and effectively treat patients.
The 80 slice CT is designed to precisely detect a large array of conditions. It will allow physicians to diagnose and treat many conditions locally instead of sending patients out of the community.
